I am a world traveler and lover of fine art, languages and good food. I have spent the majority of my life between Canada, Germany, Italy, Norway and the United States. At a young age I developed an interest in creative writing, psychology and languages. After graduating from high school at the liberating age of 17, I spent a summer in Rome studying Italian at Dante Alighieri. It was here that my love for Italy first flourished.
In the early 1990s, I delved further into my art appreciation by taking classes as Sotheby's in New York and volunteering at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for the culinary arts which inspired my move to Vancouver to partake in the Culinary Program at Dubrulle French Culinary School.
In the mid-1990s, I did a 5-month internship in California at the Golden Door Spa where I met some of the most influential people to my career. My culinary skills were appreciated by several world travelers, who hired me to join them on their adventures as a private chef in Turkey, Italy, France and New York.
While in Italy, I began organizing food and wine tours and was later hired by The Food Network to scout locations for culinary excursions. Now, here I am today offering my lifetime of exploration into the culinary pleasures and natural wonders of Italy which I am happy to share with you!
